Reference planting turmeric

Turmeric, including plants that live in tropical areas. In terms of plant morphology, this plant belonged herb that grows to form the roots of rhizomes. Forms tubers or roots of rhizome elongated oval and formed a branch with yellow-orange color to the brass. This plant is suitable planting in areas with average temperatures between 15 to 35 degrees Celsius, with land height from 0 meters above sea level to 1200 m above sea level. Land required for good growth in the range of acidity (ph) of 4 to 7.

The turmeric plant is necessary to do the selection of seeds / seedlings carefully. Choose the tuber / rhizome roots that were old enough to shoot at least 2 pieces. To ensure that the seed is free of pests / disease, it can be done first washing by adding an appropriate herbicide before planting. To obtain uniform seedlings, the nursery can be done in advance, so that later can be selected seedlings uniform height. Planting the seeds usually at a depth of about 7 cm, with a spacing of 50-65 cm to between bolt and about 30 cm between trees. Preferably before the plant reaches the age of 3 months, given the protective plants for optimal growth.
