Tumeric as a herbal medicine

 Javanese people say Kunir. In the Indonesian language commonly called Kunyit. Saffron or turmeric include herbs that form the root rhizome. Tumeric in some cases can be used as medicine, or people say as herbal medicine.
Size of rhizome varies until it reaches 10 cm in length, but mostly average or long rhizomes reach 5-7 cm.
In everyday life spice turmeric is used for kitchen or as a coloring agent such as the yellow rice or tofu.
According to information as  a herbal medicine, turmeric has a role or function to inhibit / or kill bacteria or microorganisms cause spoilage. For the housewife who likes to cook fish, turmeric for pain can also fishy, ​​as well as flavor enhancer kitchen certainly can for flavor, color and taste so much better and interesting.
In terms content of chemical substances, turmeric has a property to foreign drugs to treat wounds such as skin or some skin diseases like eczema, or even to cure inflammation of the lining the nose or blockage of the nostril. As a herbal medicine, it can also as an anti-itch and replace spasms and reduce swelling of the mouth mucous membrane. Turmeric also is believed to cure leucorrhoea, accelerate menstruation, reduce stomach pains during menstruation and facilitate breastfeeding.
Turmeric can be made into solution in the beverage that is able to expedite expenditure of urine (to function as diuretics), treatment in patients with diarrhea, indigestion or heartburn, abdominal bloating can even also for blood pressure-lowering drugs. For the elderly, turmeric is capable of as a tonic to increase physical fitness. For the purposes of beauty, turmeric can also be for the body slimming and skin rejuvenation. Even for people with blood fat, turmeric may lower blood cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart attack.
